Building Division

The Building Division of Development Services is tasked with processing and reviewing building permit applications and overseeing inspections for building code compliance to ensure the health and life safety of residents and first responders. Department staff also process business tax receipt applications and handle public records requests for department records.

Permit Planner

Thinking about a construction project and you're not sure where to start? Check out our new Permit Planner portal. This service will allow you to check if your project meets current Zoning allowances prior to submitting a permit application, walks you through your expected scope of work to provide you with a list of the permits you'll need, and can give you an upfront estimate of the permitting fees based upon the expected value of the project. EPL Guide & Info

EPL (Enterprise Permitting & Licensing) is our 100% digital online permitting platform while the Civic Access portal is the customer-facing side of EPL. Our EPL Guide and Information page contains PDF guides as well as Youtube walkthroughs on how to register for and use the Civic Access portal. We highly recommend spending some time getting to know the portal before you begin your permit application.

Civic Access

Use the Civic Access portal to manage your project - apply for permits, check your permit status, pay fees, resubmit for plan review, download your permit card and approved plans, schedule inspections, and more.
