Please keep in mind that Grassy Waters Preserve is a protected wilderness habitat, not a recreational park. We ask you to please follow the posted rules and regulations to keep both yourself and our sensitive ecosystem safe.

No pets of any kind are allowed within the Preserve.

Service animals are permitted in accordance with ADA, though handlers should be cautious and keep a safe distance between their service animal and alligator habitat.

 

 nowatercraft.png  

No personal watercraft are permitted within the Preserve. Preserve-owned watercraft are used for educational guided tours only.  

Personal watercraft, including those with electric trolling motors, are allowed only at Gator Lake accessed via Eagle Trail.  Gas-powered motors are prohibited.  

 

 noswimming.png No swimming or wading is permitted within any body of water within the Preserve. Water access occurs during educational guided tours only.

Do not feed or interact with wildlife in any way.

 

 nofish.png Fishing is not permitted within the Preserve, with the exception of the Gator Lake fishing pier accessed via Eagle Trail.

 

 nocollect.png  Picking or collecting plants or animals is not permitted within the Preserve.
