The Sanitation Division of Public Works is closely monitoring the weather conditions. Currently, we are not scheduling any additional Special pick-ups for Vegetation or Bulk items. All other Sanitation services are currently on their normal schedules. Should conditions worsen and pose a safety risk to Sanitation employees, we will communicate any service changes here and at 561-822-2075.
Tropical storm winds from Hurricane Helene are expected to impact the City of West Palm Beach within the next 12 to 18 hours. Heavy rains, and winds of up to 50 miles per hour are possible. We encourage all residents to take this storm seriously and prepare accordingly. Paddle your canoe through the shallow waters of the Everglades as you learn about the history and ecology of Grassy Waters on this guided tour. Be sure to sign up with a partner, canoes require two paddlers.
When: Saturday, September 28th
Time: 9:30am - 11:00am *Check in at the Nature Center 30 min prior to program start time.
Ages: 6 and over (with at least one participating adult – two adults with child seated in center of canoe is ideal).
Cost: $10 per adult, $5 per child
Come Prepared: Wear clothes that can get wet and muddy. Bring a water bottle, hat, and sun protection.
