Homework Center Helper

About this Volunteer Opportunity 

The Elementary Homework Center is an opportunity for students in grades K-5 to get receive assistance with all subjects including homework, projects, test prep, and encouragement with their studies. Elementary Homework Center is available on Mondays and Wednesday from 4 – 7:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 – 6:45 p.m., and  Sundays from 2–4 p.m. 

Teen Homework Help provides students in grades 6-12 assistance with all subjects including homework, projects, test prep, and encouragement with their studies. Reading sessions are available Monday through Wednesday, and math sessions are available Tuesday through Thursday. Teen Homework Help is available Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 – 8 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 – 6:45 p.m. 

If you like helping youth, are committed to education, are computer literate, and can attend weekly, then the Homework Center program is right for you!

NOTE: There are no homework help sessions on no-school days and holidays.

Requirements

You will need to be “on the move” in this position: you will stand, walk, crouch, stoop, squat, twist, climb, push/pull/lift up to 25 pounds. This position requires a minimum of one afternoon each week to participate in the Homework Center.
