Charging Stations Upgrades in Progress! 

In our continued efforts to bring residents and visitors the newest technology, the City of West Palm Beach has contracted with Blink Charging Company to install new, efficient electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in three municipal parking garages. Blink will begin installing the new EV stations in November 2024. They are expected to be available in December. They are being installed in the:

  • City Center Garage, 401 Banyan Boulevard

  • Clematis Street Garage, 500 Banyan Boulevard, and

  • Evernia Street Garage, 333 Evernia Street

During the upgrade, the older, less efficient EV charging facilities may not be available.

The key features of the new Blink charging stations include:

  • Efficient Charging Capability: Delivering a reliable and timely charge.

  • User-Friendly App: The Blink app allows users to locate charging stations, check availability, and manage charging sessions easily.

  • Sustainability Efforts: By increasing access to reliable EV charging stations, the City aims to reduce carbon emissions and promote cleaner transportation options.

Amenities

Real-Time Customer Service Center: All parking garages are monitored 24/7 in our proactive, real-time customer service center. The staff can assist customers with all their parking concerns. When necessary they are equipped to dispatch security, maintenance, supervisors, and cleaning crew. The real-time customer service center monitors 120 cameras throughout the City's parking garages to provide the highest standards of quality customer service to the community.

High-Tech Parking Guidance System: We are making it easy and convenient for motorists to park in city garages. City parking garages feature a new state-of-the-art parking guidance system which acts like a personal assistant or concierge for motorists. Upon entry into the garage, an electronic billboard notifies visitors of available spaces. A bright LED indicator directs parking clients to an open space, which is tracked by a camera and sensor system. The system also regulates lighting and is energy efficient.

Parking Ambassadors: Our Parking Ambassadors are here to serve you. Often you will find our ambassadors standing on the parking equipment islands at each garage to assist customers with their parking concerns. If no one is present, they may be in the garage assisting other customers with parking-related issues.
