Q. Is parking in downtown West Palm Beach safe and secure?

A. The safety and security of residents and visitors is a top priority for the City of West Palm Beach and we have upgraded LED lighting in City-owned garages and increased security patrols. Additionally, we would be happy to escort you day or night – on the streets and within our garages.
TIP: For more information about the on-demand, on-street security personnel, managed by the Downtown Development Authority, please contact PSC at (561) 818-3667. The escorts are available daily from 7 a.m. – midnight.
TIP: For an escort within one of the City-owned garages, please contact Giddens Security at (561) 818-4649. City garage escorts are available Monday – Friday, from 10 a.m. – 5 a.m.; Saturday from 9:30 a.m. – 6 a.m.; and Sunday from 12 a.m. – 5 a.m.

Q. I am handicapped – where is there available handicapped parking?

A. Handicapped parking is available in City lots and garages at the posted rates. Vehicles displaying a valid handicapped placard are invited to park at on-street metered parking for free. While on-street parking is free, vehicles displaying a handicapped placard are still expected to honor the posted time restrictions, which vary per meter.
