Chief of Police Tony Araujo invites eligible young adults to explore the idea of becoming a Law Enforcement Explorer with the City of West Palm Beach.

Law Enforcement Exploring

  • Discover your future! Exploring is a career education program for young men and women (ages 14 through 21) designed to help them mature and prepare to become responsible and caring adults. Post activities will help youth grow, develop, and pursue their special interests. In this case, a possible career in law enforcement.
  • Law Enforcement Exploring provides young adults who may be interested in a career in law enforcement with a comprehensive program of training, competition, service, and practical experiences. Character development, physical fitness, good citizenship, and patriotism are integral components of the overall program.
  • Police officers engage, mentor, and shape the workforce of tomorrow. This is the experience of a lifetime!

Program objectives:

  • Provide a training program that educates young adults on the purpose of enforcement agencies.
  • Provide an opportunity for service, practical experiences, competition, and recreation.
  • Prepare Explorers to be better community members through character development, physical fitness, good citizenship, and patriotism.
