By participating, you enrich your life and the lives of those you serve – providing an opportunity for service and personal growth. Explore all of the exciting opportunities the City has to offer and become a part of our amazing group of volunteers who share their time, skills, and enthusiasm with one of the many services or programs within the City.

For additional information, please contact the City of West Palm Beach Volunteer Services at (561) 804-4906.

Adopt-a-Park Program

Volunteer groups or organizations can help maintain and care for parks, facilities, and other public areas, as well as monitor parks for unusual activity and maintenance issues. Volunteers assume responsibility for an assigned park or portion of a park, agree to a minimum of 4 clean ups per year for a minimum of 1 year, and must provide a minimum of 10 volunteers each workday. The Adopt-A-Park program provides an added means to maintain City properties and facilities, builds a sense of ownership among citizens, encourages enthusiasm for the City’s parks system, and engages citizens in community initiatives.

Community Gardens

Come out and join us at one of our Community Gardens. Volunteers will help plant, maintain, and educate others on gardening.  Group volunteer opportunities available upon request. For more information on Community Gardens, please contact (561) 804-4979 or visit https://www.wpb.org/government/housing-community-development/wpb-famu-partnership.

Recreation staff will provide instructions, general supervision, tools, and supplies. Project scheduling can be done at the convenience of the volunteer group, on both weekdays and weekends.
