City of West Palm Beach Offers New Digital Permitting and Licensing Platform through Open Counter
This powerful tool makes permitting and licensing projects more accessible to the public

WEST PALM BEACH, FL — The City of West Palm Beach has implemented a new and powerful permitting and licensing platform on its website through Open Counter, connecting residents and the public with essential permitting and zoning information that is accessible whenever they need.

The “Permit Planner Portal” available on the City’s Development Services webpage, offers tons of helpful information, walking residents and the public through their projects in a way that is easy to understand. It is a guide to be used before submitting applications — the platform itself is not designed for submitting applications.

The goal of this new platform is to make it easier for residents and business owners to determine zoning and permitting requirements without having to delay their project by having to reach out to City staff. Staff are available during regular business hours, but this gives residents the tools and ability to plan and problem solve on their own time. The platform is operational in English, Spanish, and Creole.

For more information, visit the City’s Development Services webpage or watch an informative video on the City’s YouTube page.
