CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING, PUBLIC WORKS & UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES 

  • 300 Block North Clematis Alleyway (extended through October 2024): Full closure of alleyway between Dixie Highway and Olive Avenue for underground utilities improvements.
  • 7th Street (Roosevelt Estates from Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard to Australian Avenue (through October 2024): Intermittent lane closures with flagging operations for roadway work.
  • Flagler Drive sidewalk closure (through October 2024): Sidewalk closed from Arkona Court and Barcelona Road.
  • Wildermere Road between Dixie Highway and Olive Avenue (through early 2025): Intermittent lane closures. Anticipated start date mid-to-late October.
  • 36th Street Sanitary Sewer & Drainage Rehab (thru December 2024): Intermittent lane closures with flagging operations for underground work.
  • Georgia Avenue Sanitary Sewer and Stormwater Rehabilitation (through August 2025): Intermittent lanes closures for storm and sanitary sewer investigation.
  • Palm Beach Lakes Service Road (November 2024): Intermittent lane closures with flagging operations for milling and paving operations.
  • Banyan Boulevard Closure: Partial lane closure with flagging operation on Westbound lane between Sapodilla Avenue and Tamarind Avenue for utility work on November 06, 2024.

ROAD CLOSURES   

  • Clematis by Night – Thursday, October 24 & Thursday, October 31: North & South Clematis Streets between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive, and Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street, and Narcissus between Drama Works Alley & North Clematis Street from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.
  • The Square Closure – Friday, October 25 through Sunday, October 27 & Friday, November 1 through Sunday, November 3: Rosemary Avenue between Okeechobee Boulevard and Hibiscus Street.
  • GreenMarket – Saturday, October 26 & Saturday, November 2: 100 Block of North and South Clematis, Narcissus between Banyan Boulevard and Datura Street; Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street; 200 block of Clematis Street from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • West Palm Beach Antique, Flea and Craft Market - Saturday, October 26 & Saturday, November 2: 300 and 400 Block of Clematis Street from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • East Lakewood Halloween Trick or Treating – Thursday, October 31, 2024: Murray Road closed between Olive Avenue and Flagler Drive & East Lakewood Road closed between Olive Avenue & Flagler Drive. Closure is from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • EL CID Historic Halloween Block Party – Thursday, October 31, 2024: Valencia Rd closed between Olive Ave and Flagler Dr. Closure is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Trick or Treat 2024 – Thursday, October 31, 2024: The following road closures are from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
    • Vincent Road closed between Greenwood Avenue & Royal Palm
    • Roosevelt Place between Vincent Road & Washington Road
    • Marlborough Road between Olive Avenue & Vincent Road
  • Halloween Block Party – Thursday, October 31, 2024: Palmetto Lane closed between Olive Avenue & Flagler Drive from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Spruce Slam – Friday, November 1st, 2024: Spruce Avenue closed between 18th and 19th Street from 3 p.m. on Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday, November 2.
  • Lagoon Fest – Saturday, November 2 through Sunday, November 3, 2024: Flagler Drive closed between Banyan Boulevard & Fern Street from 7 p.m. on Friday to Saturday, Nov. 3 at 5 p.m.

PRIVATE PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES

  • One Flagler - Chase Street between Lakeview Avenue and Okeechobee Boulevard (through October 2024): The road is closed for construction. The eastern sidewalk is closed for construction.
  • One Flagler - Lakeview Avenue between Flagler Drive and Chase Street (through October 2024): Single lane closure due to construction. No site deliveries in the work zone. 
    • Sidewalk, street parking area, and rightmost straight lane closure on Southbound Flagler Drive from Lakeview Avenue to Okeechobee Boulevard.
    • Southbound western most lane closure for art installation through Friday, Oct. 25, 2024.
  • 512 Clematis (thru May 2025): Sidewalk closure on southwest corner of Clematis Avenue & Quadrille Plaza Drive.
    • Southbound Lane on Quadrille Plaza Drive closed until further notice
  • Olara Boat Dock (thru January 2025): Sidewalk closure on east side of Flagler Drive between Pine Street and Butler Drive. Parking stalls also closed.
  • Flagler Forte (thru May 2025): Currently roads are open. Intermittent lane closure on Flager Drive for material delivery.
  • Northwood Square (thru February 2025):
    • Hard closure on 25th Street between Rosemary Avenue and Broadway Avenue.
    • 25th Street closed between Broadway & the railroad 23rd Street from Spruce Avenue to the railroad (until further notice).
  • NORA (through November 2024)- Spruce Avenue between 11th Street & Palm Beach Lakes
  • Dixie Highway between Banyan Boulevard and 5th Street (thru October 2024): Intermittent lane closures for utility installation.
  • NYU (through December 2024) – Sidewalk and single lane closures on Datura Street between Olive Avenue & Dixie Highway. Sidewalk closed on Olive Avenue between Datura Street and Evernia Street. Anticipated to start early November.
  • CityPlace East/West Towers (thru summer 2025): Gardenia Street to be closed between Rosemary Avenue & Quadrille Boulevard. Closure to start in late October.
  • Mastec (through Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024): Fern Street closure between Quadrille Boulevard & Rosemary Avenue, eastbound lane for milling & resurfacing.

PALM BEACH COUNTY ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY

  • Palm Beach Lakes Blvd at 7th Street (until further notice): Periodic westbound left turn lane closure for roundabout installation on 7th Street. 
  • Palm Beach Lakes Blvd from North Australian Avenue to North Tamarind Avenue (until further notice): Periodic westbound right lane closure. Periodic southbound right turn lane closure on North Australian Avenue. Periodic southbound right turn lane closure on Tamarind Avenue for underground utility work. 
  • North Australian Avenue just north of Mangonia Drive: Periodic northbound right lane closure for pole installation.
  • Northlake Boulevard at Ibis Boulevard and at Shoppes of Ibis (until further notice): Periodic eastbound right lane closure for mast arm installation.

FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB 

State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project (through Late 2029)

  • Project Limits: 3.142-mile project in the cities of Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach began on March 18, 2024.
  • Improvements consist of widening SR 710/Beeline Highway from Northlake Boulevard to SR 708/Blue Heron Boulevard from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, replacing and widening the Florida’s Turnpike bridge over SR 710/Beeline Highway, constructing an at-grade partial Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard, adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides of SR 710/Beeline Highway, upgrading railroad crossings, drainage, signage, lighting, signalization and pavement markings throughout project limits, and upgrading Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
  • State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway from SR 708/Blue Heron to Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Jog Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Haverhill Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway from Military Trail to Blue Heron Boulevard will have one lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway lane widths are reduced and westbound traffic has been shifted to the median from just east of the Turnpike to Blue Heron Boulevard to safely facilitate construction activities.
  • The SR 710/Beeline Highway northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Boulevard has been temporarily closed to safely facilitate this phase of construction, and is anticipated to reopen in Fall 2025. During this closure, motorists can continue on SR 710/Beeline Highway and turn right at the light to access eastbound Northlake Boulevard.

     

    Northshore Bridge Improvements Project (Spring 2025)

  • Project Limits: This 0.07-mile project on North Shore Drive over the Carver Canal in the city of West Palm Beach began August 26, 2024.
  • The work includes construction of a prefabricated steel pedestrian bridge on the west side of North Shore Drive crossing the Carver Canal, realignment of the pedestrian sidewalk path on the west side of North Shore Bridge to the new pedestrian bridge, reconstruction of drainage outfalls along the north and south sides of the newly constructed pedestrian bridge, replacement and upgrading signage impacted by construction, and adding lighting at each side of the new pedestrian bridge.
  • The southbound lane of North Shore Drive will be intermittently closed from Monday through Friday for material delivery and drainage installation operations. Flaggers will be on-site to assist motorists, and pedestrian detours will be in place.

  CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS

  • Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
  • Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. 
  • Clematis Street Docks (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Docks are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight.
  • Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dock is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks. The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Boat.
