CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING, PUBLIC WORKS and UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES 

  • 7th Street (Roosevelt Estates from Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard to Australian Avenue (through January 2025): Intermittent lane closures with flagging operations for roadway work.
  • 36th Street Sanitary Sewer and Drainage Rehab (through December 2024): Intermittent lane closures with flagging operations for underground work.
  • Georgia Avenue Sanitary Sewer and Stormwater Rehabilitation (through August 2025): Intermittent lanes closures for storm and sanitary sewer investigation.
  • Lake Avenue and Hunter Road (through January 2025): Lake Avenue internment southbound lane closures for stormwater installation.

EVENT ROAD CLOSURES   

  • Clematis by Night – Thursday, December 5 and Thursday, December 12: North and South Clematis Streets between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive, and Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street, and Narcissus between DramaWorks Alley and North Clematis Street from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.
  • City Place Closure – Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 8 and Friday, December 13 through Sunday, December 15: Rosemary Avenue between Okeechobee Boulevard and Hibiscus Street.
  • GreenMarket – Saturday, December 7 and Saturday, December 14: 100 Block of North and South Clematis, Narcissus between Banyan Boulevard and Datura Street; Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street; 200 block of Clematis Street from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • West Palm Beach Antique, Flea and Craft Market – Saturday, December 7 and Saturday, December 14: 300 and 400 block of Clematis Street from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Winter In Paradise – Friday, December 6: The following road closures will be in effect from Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 a.m. through Saturday, Dec. 7 at midnight.
    • 7th Street from Sapodilla Avenue to Rosemary Avenue
    • Henrietta Avenue from 7th St to 8th Street
    • 8th Street from Henrietta Avenue to Rosemary Avenue
    • Rosemary Avenue from 7th Street to 8th Street
  • Palm Beach Marathon – Thursday, December 12 through Monday, December 16: The following road closures will be in effect:
  • From December 12 at 10 a.m. to December 16, at 7 a.m.
    • Flagler Drive between Banyan Boulevard and Lakeview Avenue.
  • On December 14 from 6 a.m. with rolling openings starting at 9:15 a.m.
    • South Flagler Drive/Washington Road between Okeechobee Boulevard and Southern Boulevard
    • South Olive Avenue between Okeechobee Boulevard and Argyle Road
    • Diana Place and Actaeon Place between South Flagler and South Olive Avenue
    • Avila Road and Westminster Road between Washington Road and South Olive Avenue
  • On December 15 from 5 a.m. with rolling openings starting at noon 
    • North/South Flagler Drive from 59th Street to Southern Boulevard
    • South Olive Avenue between Jefferson Road and Argyle Road
    • Diana Place and Actaeon Place between South Flagler Drive and South Olive Avenue
    • Avila Road and Westminster Road between Washington Road and South Olive Avenue.
  • Nights in Northwood – Friday, December 13: Spruce Avenue closed between Northwood Road and 25th Street from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

PRIVATE PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES

  • One Flagler - Lakeview Avenue between Flagler Drive and Chase Street (through December 2024):
    • Sidewalk, street parking area, and rightmost straight lane closure on Southbound Flagler Drive from Lakeview Avenue to Okeechobee Boulevard.
    • Possible reconstruction of traffic median Flagler Drive between Okeechobee Boulevard and Lakeview Avenue
  • 512 Clematis (through May 2025): Sidewalk closure on southwest corner of Clematis Avenue and Quadrille Plaza Drive.
    • Southbound Lane on Quadrille Plaza Drive closed until further notice
  • Olara Boat Dock (through January 2025): Sidewalk closure on east side of Flagler Drive between Pine Street and Butler Drive. Parking stalls also closed.
  • Flagler Forte (through May 2025):
    • All lanes are currently open.
  • PBAU (through March 2025): Proposing to restart full closure one (1) week on December 16 through 20. 
  • South Flagler House (through December 2026): No road closure. Sidewalk closure along the frontage of the project.  Proposed Diana Place Closure in February 2025.
  • Northwood Square (through February 2025):
    • Hard closure on 23rd Street between Division Avenue and Broadway Avenue.
    • Hard closure on Broadway Avenue between Northwood and 23rd Street.
  • NORA (through spring 2025) - Hard closure on North Railroad and 7th Street for utility installation.
  • Dixie Highway between Banyan Boulevard and 5th Street (through December 2024): Intermittent lane closures for utility installation.
  • NYU (through December 2025) – Sidewalk and single-lane closures on Datura Street between Olive Avenue and Dixie Highway. Sidewalk closed on Olive Avenue between Datura Street and Evernia Street. Anticipated to start early January 2025.
  • CityPlace East/West Towers (through summer 2025): Hard closure on Gardenia Street between Rosemary Avenue and Quadrille Boulevard.
  • 2019 North Dixie Highway: Closure on 20th Street west of Dixie Highway for fire line installation. First week of December 2024.

PALM BEACH COUNTY ENGINEERING and PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY

  • North Australian Avenue just north of Mangonia Drive: Periodic northbound right lane closure for pole installation.
  • Northlake Boulevard at Ibis Boulevard and at Shoppes of Ibis (until further notice): Periodic eastbound right lane closure for Mast arm installation.

FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB 

State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project (through Late 2029)

  • Project Limits: 3.142-mile project in the cities of Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach began on March 18, 2024.
  • Improvements consist of widening SR 710/Beeline Highway from Northlake Boulevard to SR 708/Blue Heron Boulevard from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, replacing and widening the Florida’s Turnpike bridge over SR 710/Beeline Highway, constructing an at-grade partial Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard, adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides of SR 710/Beeline Highway, upgrading railroad crossings, drainage, signage, lighting, signalization and pavement markings throughout project limits, and upgrading Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
  • State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway from SR 708/Blue Heron to Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Jog Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Haverhill Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway from Military Trail to Blue Heron Boulevard will have one lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway lane widths are reduced and westbound traffic has been shifted to the median from just east of the Turnpike to Blue Heron Boulevard to safely facilitate construction activities.
  • The SR 710/Beeline Highway northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Boulevard has been temporarily closed to safely facilitate this phase of construction and is anticipated to reopen in Fall 2025. During this closure, motorists can continue on SR 710/Beeline Highway and turn right at the light to access eastbound Northlake Boulevard.

     

    Northshore Bridge Improvements Project (Spring 2025)

  • Project Limits: This 0.07-mile project on North Shore Drive over the Carver Canal in the City of West Palm Beach began August 26, 2024.
  • The work includes construction of a prefabricated steel pedestrian bridge on the west side of North Shore Drive crossing the Carver Canal, realignment of the pedestrian sidewalk path on the west side of North Shore Bridge to the new pedestrian bridge, reconstruction of drainage outfalls along the north and south sides of the newly constructed pedestrian bridge, replacement and upgrading signage impacted by construction, and adding lighting at each side of the new pedestrian bridge.
  • The southbound lane of North Shore Drive will be intermittently closed from Monday through Friday for material delivery and drainage installation operations. Flaggers will be on-site to assist motorists, and pedestrian detours will be in place.

  CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS

  • Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
  • Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. 
  • Clematis Street Docks (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Docks are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight.
  • Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dock is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks. The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Boat.
