5th State of the City Address is Today!

Mayor Keith A. James is hosting his 5th State of the City address at the Palm Beach County Convention Center today, Jan. 18, 2024, at 7:45 a.m.

This highly anticipated event serves as a platform for Mayor James to provide the community with a comprehensive update on the accomplishments, challenges, and significant events that unfolded throughout 2023, along with a look at the great things ahead in 2024.

West Palm Beach Partners with United Way of Palm Beach County for Free Tax Preparation Services

The City of West Palm Beach is pleased to announce a partnership with the United Way of Palm Beach County to provide free, in-person tax preparation services through the VITA Tax Program. The program will be hosted at the Eva W. Mack Community Hub (1540 N. Australian Ave.), starting today through Monday, April 15, 2024.

SunFest: Call for Local & Regional Bands!

SunFest returns to the downtown West Palm Beach waterfront May 3-5. The first national acts announced include Nelly, Third Eye Blind, and Cole Swindell. There will be a third stage reserved for regional and local bands, and SunFest is still taking applications for a spot on that stage.

Office of Sustainability: Working To Preserve Paradise and Protect Our Future

West Palm Beach is a natural paradise, but threats from pollution and climate change could change it forever. Office of Sustainability manager, Penelope Redford, teaches us about a City department that works to educate and enable residents in the fight to preserve our home's natural beauty.

Wave Makers STEM Competition

Empowering the next generation through science-led entrepreneurship

Florida residents, ages 4-18, are encouraged to apply for the Wave Makers STEM Competition! Depending on your age group, create a video and submit it with your application for a chance to win prizes including 4 VIP tickets to Cox Science Center, a signed Ocean Book, and a $5,000 educational scholarship,

Parents or guardian permission is required for students 13 and under.

The next City Commission meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 22 at 5 p.m. in City Hall, 401 Clematis Street. Commission meetings are held every other Monday, except for holidays, and the public is encouraged to attend.
