CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING, PUBLIC WORKS & UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES 

  • Washington Road between Roosevelt Place and Royal Palm Road (construction extended through July 2024): Road closures as part of a streetscape redesign, including new underground utilities, sidewalks, and storm drainage improvements. Washington Rd closed from Monceaux Road to Royal Palm Road. Anticipated intermittent lane closures throughout for final paving and stripping.
  • 300 Block North Clematis Alleyway (extended through July 2024): Full closure of alleyway between Dixie Highway and Olive Avenue for underground utilities improvements.
  • Northwood Hills from 39th Street to 44th Street between Windsor Avenue and Greenwood Avenue (extended through July 2024): Partial lane closures with flagging operations for underground utilities improvements.
  • Datura Street between Flagler Drive & Dixie Highway (Extended through August 2024): Partial lane closures with flagging operations for storm sewer rehabilitation.
  • Tamarind Avenue between Banyan Boulevard & 7th Street (through July 2024): Full Road closures as part of a streetscape redesign, including new underground utilities, sidewalks, lighting and storm drainage improvements.
  • Eucalyptus Street between Florida Avenue & Claremore Avenue (through July 2024): Partial Lane Closures for storm sewer rehabilitation at Eucalyptus Street from North Dixie Highway to North Olive Avenue.
  • 47th Street between Pinewood Avenue & Broadway (through July 2024): Partial Lane closures for storm sewer rehabilitation.
  • 3rd Street between Flagler Drive & Intracoastal Waterway (July 2024): Partial lane closures for sewer repairs.
  • Boyd Street, Boyd Street & Dock Street intersection (Phase 1) (through July 2024): Expect intermittent lane closures during the drainage improvements on Boyd Street and Ardmore Road (from Dock Street to Ridgeway Avenue).
  • Charles Street, Dock Street & Ridgeway Avenue (Phase 2) (through August 2024): Expect intermittent lane closures during the drainage improvements.
  • Flagler Drive from Summa Street to Gregory Road (through August 2024): Expect Intermittent Lane closures for milling and paving.
  • 7th Street (Roosevelt Estates from Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard to Australian Avenue (through October 2024): Intermittent Lane closures with flagging operations for roadway work.

EVENT ROAD CLOSURES   

  • Clematis by Night – Thursday, July 18 & Thursday, July 25: North & South Clematis Streets between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive, and Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street, and Narcissus between Drama Works Alley & North Clematis Street from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.
  • The Square Closure – Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21 & Friday July 26 through Sunday, July 28: Rosemary Avenue between Okeechobee Boulevard and Hibiscus Street.

PRIVATE PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES

  • One Flagler - Chase Street between Lakeview Avenue and Okeechobee Boulevard (through Summer 2024): The road is closed for construction. The eastern sidewalk is closed for construction.
  • One Flagler - Lakeview Avenue between Flagler Drive and Chase Street (through Summer 2024): Single lane closure due to construction. No site deliveries in the work zone. 
    • Sidewalk, street parking area, and rightmost straight lane closure on Southbound Flagler Drive from Lakeview Avenue to Okeechobee Boulevard.
  • 301 Clematis / 300 Banyan (extended through August 2024):
    • Sidewalk closures along site frontage on Banyan Boulevard and North Olive Avenue.
    • Alley north of Clematis Street is closed between North Olive Avenue and the Chase Bank Plaza.
    • Closure of left-most lane along North Olive Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and Clematis Street.
    • Banyan Boulevard Close between North Dixie Highway and North Olive Avenue for Utility & Roadway Improvements.
  • 350 Australian Avenue (extended through summer 2024):
    • West side sidewalk closure on Clearwater Drive south of Banyan Boulevard for utility work and building construction activities. Pedestrian detour provided.
  • 512 Clematis (through May 2025): Sidewalk closure on southwest corner of Clematis Avenue & Quadrille Plaza Drive.
    • Southbound Lane on Quadrille Plaza Drive closed until further notice
  • Olara Boat Dock (through September 2024): Sidewalk closure on east side of Flagler Drive between Pine Street and Butler Drive.
  • Flagler Forte (through May 2025): Single lane closures on Flagler Drive from Chadbourne Court and Diana Place.
  • Northwood Square (through August 2024): Hard closure on 25th Street between Rosemary Avenue and Broadway Avenue.
  • Dixie Highway between Banyan Boulevard and 5th Street (July 2024): Intermittent lane and sidewalk closures for installation of underground utilities.
  • Sapodilla Avenue & Hibiscus Street (through Friday, July 19): intersection closure for FPU work .
  • The Spruce - 24th and 25th/ Spruce to Broadway: Sidewalk closure through August 15.

PALM BEACH COUNTY ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY

  • North Haverhill Road from Loring Drive to Tyler lakes Boulevard (until further notice): Periodic nighttime northbound right lane closure with traffic shift for FPL pole replacement. 
  • Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard from North Australian Avenue to North Tamarind Avenue (until further notice): Periodic westbound right lane closure. Periodic southbound right turn lane closure on North Australian Avenue. Periodic southbound right turn lane closure on Tamarind Avenue for underground utility work. 
  • Northlake Boulevard at Ibis Boulevard and at Shoppes of Ibis (until further notice): Periodic eastbound right lane closure for mast arm installation.
  • Congress Avenue from Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard to 45th Street (until further notice): Periodic nighttime lane closures for pavement markings.

FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB 

State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project (through Late 2029)

  • Project Limits: 3.142-mile project in the cities of Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach began on March 18, 2024.
  • Improvements consist of widening SR 710/Beeline Highway from Northlake Boulevard to SR 708/Blue Heron Boulevard from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, replacing and widening the Florida’s Turnpike bridge over SR 710/Beeline Highway, constructing an at-grade partial Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard, adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides of SR 710/Beeline Highway, upgrading railroad crossings, drainage, signage, lighting, signalization and pavement markings throughout project limits, and upgrading Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
  • State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway from SR 708/Blue Heron to Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Jog Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Haverhill Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

    Tri-Rail Pedestrian Bridge Rehabilitation (Until Further Notice)

  • SFRTA is performing rehabilitation work at all Tri-Rail station pedestrian bridges, with the exception of the Golden Glades and Miami Airport Stations.
  • The work will improve the safety and integrity of bridges by repairing localized corrosion and expansion joint wear, upgrading protective coating and painting on metal surfaces, replacing concrete slabs and upgrading screens to corrosion-resistant aluminum.
  • Pedestrian bridges may be inaccessible during segments of the work. Train delays may be encountered due to single tracking in the area where work is being performed.
  • The rehab project is programmed to close two bridges at a time for approximately 4-month increments.

    Northshore Bridge Improvements Project (Spring 2025)

  • Project Limits: This 0.07-mile project on North Shore Drive over the Carver Canal in the city of West Palm Beach is anticipated to begin August 2024.
  • The work includes construction of a prefabricated steel pedestrian bridge on the west side of North Shore Drive crossing the Carver Canal, realignment of the pedestrian sidewalk path on the west side of North Shore Bridge to the new pedestrian bridge, reconstruction of drainage outfalls along the north and south sides of the newly constructed pedestrian bridge, replacement and upgrading signage impacted by construction, and adding lighting at each side of the new pedestrian bridge.
  • All travel lanes are open.

FLORIDA EAST COST RAILWAY (FEC) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB

  • FEC has scheduled track maintenance on a few crossings in the City of West Palm Beach for the month of July. Below are the details relating to this maintenance program:

    Hampton Street Railway Crossing Closure

  • Hampton Road will be closed July 26 at 6 p.m. through July 28 at midnight.
    • Detours for this closure are Belvedere Road & Avenida Hermosa East and West bound traffic.

  CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS

  • Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
  • Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. 
  • Clematis Street Docks (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Docks are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight.
  • Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dock is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks. The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Boat.
