FY '23 Budget Hearings

The City will hold two public hearings to determine the Fiscal Year '23 budget and millage rate. The proposed budget was developed following community input meetings with residents and commission workshops.

PETA: West Palm Beach Among Top 10 Vegan-Friendly Beach Towns in U.S.

In announcing this recognition, PETA cited the City’s provision of “delicious and healthy vegan options” to residents and tourists.

Primary Election On August 23

The 2022 Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, August 23. Early voting will be held through Sunday, August 21.

Safely Dispose of Propane Tanks & Cylinders

Propane, helium, and compressed gas cylinders or tanks should never be placed in the trash as this can lead to injury or death. Protect yourself and your community by taking following the proper protocols when disposing these materials.

Salento Coffee Shop Now Open at City Center

The City, Mandel Public Library and CRA are pleased to welcome Salento Coffee Shop to its new location, 407 Clematis Street, at City Center. Co-owned by Jaime and Johana Lara, Salento recently held a grand opening and ceremonial ribbon-cutting. The shop offers Colombian-grown coffee and an array of Latin American-inspired breakfast and lunch offerings. Salento will take advantage of the outside courtyard and will be working with the Mandel Public Library to host cultural events including music, literature, art and educational opportunities.

Volunteer at Grassy Waters Preserve

If you love nature or conservation, the stewards of West Palm Beach’s Grassy Waters Preserve want you to volunteer as a member of their team. The preserve is a 23-square mile pristine remnant of the Everglades that serves as the City’s freshwater supply and home to native wildlife. Click the image to watch the video.

City Commission Meeting on Monday & Recent Policy Actions

The next city commission meeting will be held on August 22 at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 401 Clematis St. Commission meetings are held every other Monday, and the public is encouraged to attend.
