Fire Department to Host Memorial 9/11 Stair Climb

The West Palm Beach Fire Department will host its annual 9/11 Stair Climb in honor of the first responders who lost their lives following the September 11, 2001 terror attacks. Proceeds will benefit patients and families supported by Pediatric Oncology Support Team, Inc. and students enrolled in the fire academy at Palm Beach Lakes High School.

COVID-19 Recovery Assistance Loans Available to Small Businesses

Through its Office of Small and Minority/Women Business Programs, the City has made available financial assistance for small businesses facing negative impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Free Tree, Rain Barrel Giveaway on September 17

The City's Office of Sustainability will be giving away trees and rain barrels from 10 - 11:30 a.m. in the Howard Park Community Center parking lot (1302 Parker Avenue). These events support the City's water conservation and tree planting efforts. Registration is required.

City to Observe National Hispanic Heritage Month September 15 - October 15

This observance celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of Latinos and Hispanics.

Mayor Keith A. James will issue a proclamation during an upcoming City Commission meeting, and the City will host various FREE community events at the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach.

FY '23 Budget Hearing on September 22

The City will hold its second public hearing to determine the Fiscal Year '23 budget and millage rate. The tentative budget was developed following community input meetings with residents and commission workshops.

Recent Policy Actions, Next City Commission Meeting

The next city commission meeting will be held on September 19 at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 401 Clematis Street. Commission meetings are held every other Monday, except for holidays, and the public is encouraged to attend.
