'The Park' Officially Opens for Golf and Much More

After months of anticipation, 'The Park,' the City of West Palm Beach's renovated golf course and community activity complex, is officially open for business.

Mayor Keith A. James and Joe Sellars, the first African-American Superintendent of the City's former golf course reflects on the changes they have seen, and their hopes for the future.

'Run With the Cops 5K'

During the 7th annual 'Run With the Cops 5K' more than 300 runners, including several West Palm Beach police officers, had a great time racing down Flagler Drive, to raise money to fund community events like 'Shop with a Cop'.

Vendors Building Businesses Through The West Palm Beach GreenMarket

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket is closed for the season after another successful run. As in years past, many vendors say working there gave their businesses a big boost, particularly young vendors selling at their first season of the GreenMarket. Over 250,000 visitors attended the GreenMarket this season.

Vegetation Amnesty Days are to be held from April 24 to May 5

In preparation for the 2023 Hurricane season, City of West Palm Beach residents are encouraged to place an unlimited amount of vegetative waste curbside for pickup from Monday, April 24 to Friday, May 5, 2023. Pickups will take place on your regularly scheduled pickup days at no additional cost to you.

Vegetation includes grass clippings, leaves, tree, shrubbery cuttings or trimmings, broken or cut tree limbs and logs, and other vegetation incidental to the care of lawns and gardens.

BAM Festival Brings Books and Music to Downtown West Palm Beach

Mandel Public Library, along with Dreyfoos School of the Arts and other partners brought authors, artists, and musicians downtown for the annual BAM (Books, Art, Music) Festival.

The next City Commission meeting will be held on Monday, May 1 at 5 p.m. in City Hall, 401 Clematis Street. Commission meetings are held every other Monday, except for holidays, and the public is encouraged to attend.
