Celebrate Women's History Month at the Mandel Public Library

The City of West Palm Beach will observe Women's History Month in March with free events at the Mandel Public Library.

Women's History Month celebrates the contribution that women have made to history, culture, and society. It is a time to remember and recognize the often-overlooked contributions of women to United States history.

Musician Takes Library Kids On A Journey of Drums

African Percussionist Abasi “Manblack” Hanif recently took children on an exciting journey into the heart and soul of Africa through music. It was all part of the Black History Month celebration at Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach.

Champion Houston Astros Hit A Home Run At

Clematis By Night

Mayor James welcomes members of the World Champion Houston Astros ball club to Thursday's Clematis By Night as residents cheered and took photos. Spring training for the Astros and Washington Nationals is taking place at The Ball Park of the Palm Beaches.

The "Botanical Preserve" Installation is Underway!

Jill Hotchkiss has begun the installation of her gilded mural at South Olive Park on the east-facing wall. She, and her team, will be working on the mural now until Friday, March 3, 2023. This site-specific public artwork will be available to view and enjoy for the next five years.

Termite Tenting of Seaboard Train Station

The Seaboard Train Station, located at 209 S. Tamarind Avenue, is underway to have termite tenting through 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27. The affected transportation providers will continue operation. Click the link below for more details.

Apply Today: Summer Camp Scholarship Program

The City's Parks and Recreation Department invites residents to apply for Palm Beach County’s Summer Camp Scholarship Program. These scholarships can be applied to the City's summer camp programs. Applications will be accepted through April 14, or until funds run out.

Recent Policy Actions, Next City Commission Meeting

The next City Commission meeting will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 6 at City Hall, 401 Clematis Street. Commission meetings are held every other Monday, except for holidays, and the public is encouraged to attend.
