Director of Mandel Public Library is Appointed to the National Museum and Library Services Board

President Biden announced his intent to appoint Lisa Hathaway, director of Mandel Public Library, to the National Museum and Library Services Board.

This board includes the director and deputy directors of the institute of Museum and Library Service (IMLS) and 20 presidentially appointed members of the public who have demonstrated expertise in, or commitment to, library or museum services. The board advises the IMLS director on general policy and practices, and on selections for the National Medals for Museum and Library Service.

Palm Beach International Boat Show Wraps Up Another Successful Run on the West Palm Beach Waterfront

The 41st Annual Palm Beach International Boat show wrapped up another successful run on the West Palm Beach waterfront, bringing in thousands of visitors to the City, and a boost to the local economy.

City of West Palm Beach Launches $500,000 Grant Program for Small and Minority/Women-Owned Businesses

The City of West Palm Beach is excited to announce a new $500,000 funding initiative. The funding is designed to create pathways to growth for the City's small business community as it continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and manage current economic headwinds.

Devised Performance Art at Mandel Public Library

Local artist Autumn Kioti Horne is now choreographing a devised performance art piece to debut soon at Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach. The project was commissioned by the ArtLife WPB Committee as part of The Commons: A Local Artist's Public Art Initiative.

Join us for the 10th Annual e4 Life: Green Health & Wellness Expo at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event features fun and educational programs for the entire family.

The City's Parks and Recreation Department invites residents to apply for Palm Beach County’s Summer Camp Scholarship Program. These scholarships can be applied to the City's summer camp programs. Applications will be accepted through April 14, or until funds run out.

The next City Commission meeting will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 3 at City Hall, 401 Clematis Street. Commission meetings are held every other Monday, except for holidays, and the public is encouraged to attend.
