Holiday in Paradise to Again Star Sandi Tree and Her Cousin, Ferris

The City of West Palm Beach is preparing to say ‘ahoy’ to another season of Holiday in Paradise Presented by FPL. At the center of the month-long celebration are Sandi, the world’s only 700-ton holiday sand tree, and Ferris Powered by Land Rover Palm Beach. The Ferris wheel debuted as part of Sandi’s cast of characters last year.

The annual celebration features tons of free entertainment, 100 tons of other sand sculptures, nightly music and light shows, and daily things to see and do.

Florida residents, ages 4-18, are encouraged to apply for the Wave Makers STEM Competition! Depending on your age group, create a video and submit it with your application for a chance to win prizes including 4 VIP tickets to Cox Science Center, a signed Ocean Book, and a $5,000 educational scholarship,

Daylight Savings Time Ends this Weekend

The City of West Palm Beach reminds residents that Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends on Sunday, November 5, 2023. Clocks will be set back one hour at 2 a.m., transitioning from Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) to Eastern Standard Time (EST).

City officials encourage residents to adjust their clocks and use the extra hour for safety and preparedness.
