Brightline Starts Service to Orlando

Brightline is now offering service between Miami and Orlando, and you can board the train from the downtown West Palm Beach station.

Mayor Keith A. James was on hand for the first trip.

Clematis by Night Celebrates Jimmy Buffett

An honorary Clematis by Night is taking place tonight (Thursday) to celebrate long-time, part-time Palm Beach County resident, Jimmy Buffett. The celebration will include a well known Buffett tribute band, The Caribbean Chillers, and remarks from City Commissioner President Shalonda Warren. Join us for music, local food/beverage vendors, and special giveaways tonight from 6 to 9 p.m.

The City of West Palm Beach continues to host a series of community education and engagement outreach workshop events. These events are hosted in each of the commission districts on the following dates from 6 to 8 p.m.:

  • October 3 - Arthritis Foundation Building
  • October 4 - The Ball Park of the Palm Beaches
  • October 5 - Palm Beach Lakes High School

The next City Commission meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. in City Hall, 401 Clematis Street. Commission meetings are held every other Monday, except for holidays, and the public is encouraged to attend.
