The City of West Palm Beach has implemented a new and powerful permitting and licensing platform on its website through Open Counter, connecting residents and the public with essential permitting and zoning information that is accessible whenever they need.
The “Permit Planner Portal” available on the City’s Development Services webpage, offers tons of helpful information, walking residents and the public through their projects in a way that is easy to understand. It is a guide to be used before submitting applications — the platform itself is not designed for submitting applications.

The Office of Sustainability is giving away up to 4 native trees per West Palm Beach resident/business Downtown on November 2, 2024, at LagoonFest along Flagler Drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Available tree species (while supplies last): Spanish Stopper, Bahama Strongbark, West Indian Cherry, Crabwood, Spicewood, Soldierwood, Black Ironwood, Orange Geiger, Paradise Tree, Myrtle-of-the-River, Cinnamon Bark, Dahoon Holly, Redberry Stopper, Tree of Life (Lignum Vitae), Wild Lime, Wild Tamarind, and Marlberry.

Attend the 2nd Annual Community Resource Marketplace event on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Mandel Public Library. Meet providers and organizations that offer a variety of services for seniors, veterans, jobseekers, and families — including debt relief and mental health.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to get blood pressure screenings and speak with legal representatives for free legal advice on expungements, immigration, and family law. Additionally, free gun safety locks, Narcan emergency nasal dispensers, children’s books, and more will be available while supplies last. This event is free and open to the public.

The Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach, in addition to providing the auditorium event space, will provide career coaching for on-site resume review and interview preparation.
