Essential Hurricane Season Information from the City
As we venture further into the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, the City of West Palm Beach is reminding residents of the critical importance of readiness in the face of potential storms. While we remain hopeful for a calm season, it is imperative to be fully prepared for any eventuality. The season, spanning from June 1 to Nov. 30, 2024, is when tropical storms and hurricanes are anticipated to form in the Atlantic. Learn more here!

Summer is in full swing — and the library has plenty of activities planned for kids! Check out this video featuring Hip Hop for Kids, a free dance class in KidSpace. Youth Climate Action Fund
Empower Youth, Energize Change: Join the Movement for a Sustainable Future!
Are you aged 15 to 24 years old and want to make a difference in the West Palm Beach community? Are you ready to take action on climate change and help the environment? If so, the Youth Climate Action Fund (YCAF) Micro-Grant Program is for you!

Save money and do your part to help save the planet! The City of West Palm Beach and the University of Florida IFAS Extension are teaming up to host the Climate Smart Floridians Program, providing residents with research-based information about local climate change. This eight-module program guides residents toward becoming climate stewards. Each unit tackles how we, as individuals, contribute to greenhouse gases and climate change, and outlines steps to reduce our impact.
FREE program + FREE conservation resources (estimated over $200 value)!
Available to City of West Palm Beach residents, businesses, and students. Registration is required. Limited class size. Attend one or all modules! Upon completion of all 8 modules, a special certificate will be awarded.

Join the Palm Beach Solar Co-op! Joining a solar co-op can give you access to expert help, unbiased support, and group rates on your solar that can save you money! The next Solar 101 in-person session is on June 26 at 6 p.m. in Boca Raton (1501 NW Spanish River Blvd). Residents and small businesses of Palm Beach County are eligible to join. Learn more here.

Pollinator Party & Tree Giveaway
On June 22 at 10 a.m., dive into the magical world of butterflies and pollinators as we celebrate National Pollinator Week with FAMU at the Coleman Park Community Garden! Pollinator Party activities will include a pollinator scavenger hunt, up-close encounters with pollinators, the opportunity to take home free native trees, and more! The next City Commission meeting will be held on Monday, June 24, at 5 p.m. in City Hall, 401 Clematis Street. Commission meetings are held every other Monday, except for holidays, and the public is encouraged to attend.
