Our supply source for drinking water at Grassy Waters Preserve and Clear Lake is experiencing the impacts of the lack of seasonal rainfall and record-high temperatures. Your compliance is not just a request but a necessity for the sustainable use of our water resources. The City of West Palm Beach is getting ready for what's predicted to be a very busy hurricane season. The latest training session for first responders was held recently at the Emergency Operations Center.
As a reminder, the City of West Palm Beach is offering Hurricane Tax-Free Week, running from June 1 to June 14, 2024. This initiative aims to provide relief to our residents by offering tax exemptions on essential hurricane preparedness supplies, encouraging everyone to be adequately equipped for the upcoming storm season.
With the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season officially here, the City of West Palm Beach is reminding residents of the critical importance of readiness in the face of potential storms. While we remain hopeful for a calm season, it is imperative to be fully prepared for any eventuality. The season, spanning from June 1 to Nov. 30, 2024, is when tropical storms and hurricanes are anticipated to form in the Atlantic.
