CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING, PUBLIC WORKS and UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES 

  • Flagler Drive Sidewalk Closure (through March 2025): Sidewalk closed between 4601 to 4901 South Flagler Drive.
  • 36th Street Sanitary Sewer and Drainage Rehab (through February 2025): Intermittent lane closures with flagging operations for underground work.
  • Georgia Avenue Sanitary Sewer and Stormwater Rehabilitation (through August 2025): Intermittent lanes closures for storm and sanitary sewer investigation.
  • Wildermere Drainage Project (through March 2025): Single lane closure on Wildermere Road between South Olive Avenue and South Dixie Highway.
  • Washington Road (through March 2025): Intermittent lane closures on Washington Road between Monceaux Road and Edgewood Drive for lighting installation.
  • Tamarind Avenue – Single lane closure from Datura Street to Banyan Boulevard for sidewalk and roadway restoration. Work expected to be completed by Monday, February 3, 2025.

EVENT ROAD CLOSURES   

  • Clematis by Night – Thursday, January 30 and Thursday, February 6: Note the following road closures will be in place:
    • Thursday 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
      • North and South Clematis Streets between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive
      • Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street
      • Flagler Drive between Banyan Boulevard and Datura Street.
  • CityPlace Closure – Friday, January 31 through Sunday, February 2 and Friday, February 7 through Sunday, February 9: Rosemary Avenue between Okeechobee Boulevard and Hibiscus Street.
  • GreenMarket – Saturday, February 1 and Saturday, February 8 – Note the following road closures will be in place:
    • Saturday 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.
      • 100 blocks of North and South Clematis Streets.

      • 59th Street from Broadway Avenue to Flagler Drive

PRIVATE PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES

  • 512 Clematis (through May 2025): Sidewalk closure on southwest corner of Clematis Avenue and Quadrille Plaza Drive.
    • Southbound lane on Quadrille Plaza Drive closed until further notice
  • Olara Boat Dock (through January 2028): All lanes are currently open.
  • Flagler Forte (through May 2025):
    • Sidewalk closure on the east side of Olive Avenue.
  • PBAU (through March 2025): No road closures. Sidewalk closure along the frontage of the project. 
  • South Flagler House (through December 2026): No road closures. Sidewalk closure along the frontage of the project. 
  • The District (through fall 2026):
    • Hard closure on 23rd Street between Pinewood Avenue and Broadway Avenue.
    • Hard closure on Broadway Avenue between Northwood Rd and 23rd Street.
  • The Spruce (through early 2026): Hard closure on Spruce Avenue between 24th and 25th Streets on January 30, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for tree removal.
    • Daily nighttime closure from Sunday, February 9 to Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. to install underground infrastructure.
  • NORA (through spring 2025) - Hard closure on North Railroad and 7th Street for utility installation.
  • NORA Hotel (through fall 2026) – No closures are currently in place.
  • NYU (through December 2025) – All lanes are currently open to traffic.
  • CityPlace East/West Towers (through summer 2025): Hard closure on Gardenia Street between Rosemary Avenue and Quadrille Boulevard.
    • Hard closure on Rosemary Avenue from Hibiscus Street to Fern Street starting Monday, February 10 to Friday, February 21, 2025.
  • 719 Sapodilla Avenue – No road closures at this time.

FRANCHISE UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES

  • FPL - Intermittent lane closures and lane shift on 25th Street between Broadway Avenue and Pinewood Avenue. There will also be lane closure on Pinewood Avenue from 25th Street to Northwood Road. Closure date is through Friday, January 31, 2025.
  • FPL - Intermittent road closures on the following roads ongoing through Friday, February 14, 2025 (closure are phased out one street):
    • Windsor Avenue between 45th Street to Service street
    • Service street east to East Tamarind Avenue
    • East Tamarind Avenue south to 25th Street
    • 25th Street west to North Tamarind Avenue
    • North Tamarind Avenue south to 23rd Street
    • 23rd Street west to Windsor Avenue
  • ATT Wireless – Intermittent lane and sidewalk closures on Village Boulevard between Community Drive and Brandywine Road. Road closure is from Tuesday, February 4 to Friday, February 7.
  • FPU - Lane and sidewalk closure on Kanuga Drive between Lake Avenue and Georgia Avenue. Monday, February 3, and Tuesday, February 4.

PALM BEACH COUNTY ENGINEERING and PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH

  • North Australian Avenue just north of Mangonia Drive: Periodic northbound right lane closure for pole installation.
  • Northlake Boulevard at Ibis Boulevard and at Shoppes of Ibis (until further notice): Periodic eastbound right lane closure for mast arm installation.

FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH

State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project (through late 2029)

  • Project Limits: 3.142-mile project in the cities of Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach began on March 18, 2024.
  • Improvements consist of widening State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway from Northlake Boulevard to SR 708/Blue Heron Boulevard from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, replacing and widening the Florida’s Turnpike bridge over SR 710/Beeline Highway, constructing an at-grade partial Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard, adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides of SR 710/Beeline Highway, upgrading railroad crossings, drainage, signage, lighting, signalization and pavement markings throughout project limits, and upgrading Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
  • State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway from SR 708/Blue Heron to Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Jog Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Haverhill Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway from Military Trail to Blue Heron Boulevard will have one lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway lane widths are reduced, and westbound traffic has been shifted to the median from just east of the Turnpike to Blue Heron Boulevard to safely facilitate construction activities.
  • The SR 710/Beeline Highway northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Boulevard has been temporarily closed to safely facilitate this phase of construction and is anticipated to reopen in Fall 2025. During this closure, motorists may continue on SR 710/Beeline Highway and turn right at the light to access eastbound Northlake Boulevard.

     

    Northshore Bridge Improvements Project (Spring 2025)

  • Project Limits: This 0.07-mile project on North Shore Drive over the Carver Canal in the City of West Palm Beach began August 26, 2024.
  • The work includes construction of a prefabricated steel pedestrian bridge on the west side of North Shore Drive crossing the Carver Canal, realignment of the pedestrian sidewalk path on the west side of North Shore Bridge to the new pedestrian bridge, reconstruction of drainage outfalls along the north and south sides of the newly constructed pedestrian bridge, replacement and upgrading signage impacted by construction, and adding lighting at each side of the new pedestrian bridge.
  • The southbound lane of North Shore Drive will be intermittently closed from Monday through Friday for material delivery and drainage installation operations. Flaggers will be on-site to assist motorists, and pedestrian detours will be in place.

    Intersection Lighting Retrofit Improvements Project

  • Project Limits: This lighting improvements project at 22 different intersections within cities in Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties is anticipated to begin December 9, 2024. Improvements include creating a safer, more energy-efficient, and resilient transportation environment by upgrading lighting to LED fixtures and retrofitting existing light poles.
  • SR 882/Forest Hill Boulevard from Jog Road to SR 805/Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach will have intermittent single lane closures from 6:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., excluding peak hours and school speed zone hours, Tuesday through Friday, for lighting fixture replacement activities.

  CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS

  • Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
  • Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. 
  • Clematis Street Docks (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Docks are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight.
  • Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dock is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks. The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Boat.
