City of West Palm Beach Announces Grant to Improve Learning Experiences in Elementary Schools
The funding will support enriching learning experiences in reading, mathematics, science, and history.
WEST PALM BEACH, FL– The City of West Palm Beach is pleased to announce the second annual partnership grant initiative designed to improve educational outcomes for its students. Mayor Keith James and the West Palm Beach Education Advisory Committee have allocated up to $6,600 in funding to Palm Beach School District public elementary schools within the city of West Palm Beach. This funding will support enriching learning experiences in reading, mathematics, science, and history, delivered in a practical and collaborative context by local nonprofit organizations.
This initiative reflects Mayor James’ commitment to education and aims to provide students with access to high-quality educational opportunities beyond the traditional classroom. The grant will facilitate interactive and immersive learning through exhibitions, workshops, guided tours, and hands-on activities aligned with the school curriculum. These experiences may occur as in-school programs or out-of-school field trips, allowing students to explore local community resources. Funding can be used for transportation.
By investing in its students, the city is paving the way for a brighter and more innovative future for West Palm Beach.
