CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING, PUBLIC WORKS & UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES 

  • 36th Street Sanitary Sewer and Drainage Rehab (through May 2025): Intermittent lane closures with flagging operations for underground work.

  • Georgia Avenue Sanitary Sewer and Stormwater Rehabilitation (through August 2025): Intermittent lanes closures for storm and sanitary sewer investigation.

  • Wildermere Drainage Project (through April 2025): Single-lane closure on Wildermere Road between South Olive Avenue and South Dixie Highway.

  • Washington Road (through April 2025): Intermittent lane closures on Washington Road between Monceaux Road and Edgewood Drive for lighting installation.

  • Carver Neighborhood Improvements (through April 2025): Windsor Avenue closed from 10th Street to 11th Street for water main improvement.

  • Okeechobee Blvd – Nightly lane closure on Okeechobee Boulevard between South Dixie Highway and Tamarind Avenue for milling and resurfacing. The closure will take place from Monday, April 14 through Thursday, April 17, 2025 and the work hours are from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

  • Washington Road and Pine Terrrace Drainage Improvement (through October 2025):

    • Starting on or about April 21st, 2025, Washington Road will be closed to through traffic between Southern Boulevard to Pine Terrace (local traffic only).

    • Pine Terrace, Nottingham Boulevard and Malverne Road will be closed to through traffic between Washington Road and South Olive Avenue.

    • Intermittent lane closures should be expected on Pine Terrace between South Dixie Highway and South Olive Avenue.

EVENT ROAD CLOSURES

    • Flagler Drive from Banyan Boulevard to Lakeview Avenue - 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

    • Flager Drive from Lakeview Avenue to Acteon Place – 7:15 a.m. to 9 a.m.

  • Run with the Cops – Sunday, April 13, 2025 – Note the following road closures will be in place:

    • Flagler Drive between Banyan Boulevard and Lakeview Avenue from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

    • Flagler Drive between Lakeview Avenue and Sunset Road from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

  • Lexus Corporate Run – Wednesday, April 16, 2025 – Note the following Road closures:

    • Flagler Drive between Banyan Boulevard and Lakeview Avenue from 5:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.

    • Flagler Drive between Lakeview Avenue and Sunset Road from 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.

PRIVATE PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES

  • 512 Clematis (through May 2025): Sidewalk closure on southwest corner of Clematis Street & Quadrille Plaza Drive.

  • Olara Boat Dock (through January 2028): All lanes are currently open. Sidewalk closure along the project frontage.

  • Flagler Forte (through May 2025):

  • PBAU (through March 2025): No road closures. Sidewalk closure along the frontage of the project.

  • South Flagler House (through December 2026):

  • The District (through fall 2026):

  • The Spruce (through early 2026):

    • No road closures at this time.

    • Sidewalk closure along the project frontage.

  • NORA (through spring 2025) - Hard closure on North Railroad Avenue between 7th and 11th Streets for utility installation.

  • NORA Hotel (through fall 2026) – No closures are currently in place.

  • NYU (through December 2025) – Eastbound Datura Street between South Dixie Highway and South Olive Avenue closed Monday – Friday during the duration of the project.

  • CityPlace East/West Towers (through summer 2025): Hard closure on Gardenia Street between Rosemary Avenue & Quadrille Boulevard.

  • 719 Sapodilla Avenue – No road closures at the moment.

  • 115 S Olive Avenue (summer 2025): Sidewalk closures between Datura Street and Clematis Street on South Olive Avenue.

  • BJ’s (April 2025): Hard closure - Right turn lane heading south bound on Executive Center Drive closed for sitework restoration.

  • Car Wash (April 2025) : No road closures at this time.

  • Alba (spring 2027): No road closures at the moment.

  • West Palm Pointe (spring 2028): No road closures at the moment.

FRANCHISE UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES

  • FPL – Intermittent lane closures between Rosemary Avenue and Quadrille Boulevard between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until April 11, 2025.

  • FPL - Intermittent lane closure on North Rosemary Avenue between 3rd Street and 4th Street from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until April 11, 2025.

  • Crown Castle – through April 11, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. -Intermittent lane closure on Parker Avenue between Okeechobee Boulevard and Okeechobee Road.

  • Crown Castle – through April 11, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Intermittent lane closure also on Okeechobee Road between Parker Avenue and Wilkins Avenue.

  • Crown Castle – through to April 11, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Intermittent Lane closure on Wilkins Ave between Okeechobee Road and Roebuck Court.

  • FPL - Intermittent Lane and sidewalk closures for overhead to underground conversion project through May 2, 2025. Streets/blocks affected:        

  • Verizon Wireless- Intermittent Lane and sidewalk closure on Fern Street between Rosemary Avenue to Quadrille Boulevard. Sidewalk closure on Rosemary Avenue between Gardenia Street and Evernia Street, through April 11, 2025. Work is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

PALM BEACH COUNTY ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY

  • Georgia Avenue from Belvedere Road to Avon Road: Intersection improvements. Georgia Avenue from Belvedere Road to Avon Road is closed from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Periodic eastbound left turn lane closure and westbound right lane closures. Traffic will be detoured via Belvedere Road, Parker Avenue, Avon Road and Florida Avenue.

  • Georgia Avenue from Belvedere Road North of Gotham Court: Intersection improvements. Georgia Avenue from Belvedere Road to north of Gotham Court is closed from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Periodic eastbound right lane closure and westbound left turn lane closure. Traffic will be detoured via Parker Avenue.

FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB 

State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project (through late 2029)

  • Project Limits: 3.142-mile project in the cities of Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach began on March 18, 2024.

  • Improvements consist of widening SR 710/Beeline Highway from Northlake Boulevard to SR 708/Blue Heron Boulevard from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, replacing and widening the Florida’s Turnpike bridge over SR 710/Beeline Highway, constructing an at-grade partial Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard, adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides of SR 710/Beeline Highway, upgrading railroad crossings, drainage, signage, lighting, signalization and pavement markings throughout project limits, and upgrading Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).

  • State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway from SR 708/Blue Heron to Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Jog Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Haverhill Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • SR 710/Beeline Highway from Military Trail to Blue Heron Boulevard will have one lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • SR 710/Beeline Highway lane widths are reduced and westbound traffic has been shifted to the median from just east of the Turnpike to Blue Heron Boulevard to safely facilitate construction activities.

  • The SR 710/Beeline Highway northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Boulevard has been temporarily closed to safely facilitate this phase of construction and is anticipated to reopen in Fall 2025. During this closure, motorists can continue on SR 710/Beeline Highway and turn right at the light to access eastbound Northlake Boulevard.

    Northshore Bridge Improvements Project (spring 2025)

  • Project Limits: This 0.07-mile project on North Shore Drive over the Carver Canal in the City of West Palm Beach began August 26, 2024.

  • The work includes construction of a prefabricated steel pedestrian bridge on the west side of North Shore Drive crossing the Carver Canal, realignment of the pedestrian sidewalk path on the west side of North Shore Bridge to the new pedestrian bridge, reconstruction of drainage outfalls along the north and south sides of the newly constructed pedestrian bridge, replacement and upgrading signage impacted by construction, and adding lighting at each side of the new pedestrian bridge.

  • The southbound lane of North Shore Drive will be intermittently closed from Monday through Friday for material delivery and drainage installation operations. Flaggers will be on-site to assist motorists, and pedestrian detours will be in place.

    Intersection Lighting Retrofit Improvements Project

  • Project Limits: This lighting improvements project at 22 different intersections within cities in Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties is anticipated to begin December 9, 2024. Improvements include creating a safer, more energy-efficient, and resilient transportation environment by upgrading lighting to LED fixtures and retrofitting existing light poles.

  • SR 882/Forest Hill Boulevard from Jog Road to SR 805/Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach will have intermittent single-lane closures from 6:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., excluding peak hours and school speed zone hours, Tuesday through Friday, for lighting fixture replacement activities.

  CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS

  • Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.

  • Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. 

  • Clematis Street Docks (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Docks are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight.

 

Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dockis open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks.The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Re
