West Palm Beach Police Department Announces Arrest of Hogans Street Shooting Suspect

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 20, 2025) – The West Palm Beach Police Department today announced the suspect involved in the January 9, 2025, shooting along the 400 block of Hogans Street has been taken into custody following a coordinated effort between the U.S. Marshals Service and local law enforcement.

The suspect, David "Disco" Heller, who had been evading capture for several weeks, was believed to be hiding in the Broward County area. On March 19, 2025, after an attempted apprehension earlier in the day, Heller voluntarily surrendered to detectives at the West Palm Beach Police Department around 8 p.m.

The incident, which left one victim with a gunshot wound, has been under active investigation since January. Officers and investigators worked to collect evidence, interview witnesses, and track the suspect’s movements.

Heller is currently being held without bond and is facing charges of 782.04(2) attempted second-degree murder with a firearm.
