City's Finance Department launches effort to improve efficiency, vendor experience.
WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (February 26, 2019) –
The City of West Palm Beach is inviting vendors to get paid faster!!!
The City’s Department of Finance is encouraging vendors to sign up to receive their payments via direct deposit. The effort, known as the ‘Streamlining the Payment Process Project’, aims to modernize the payment process through automation; improve efficiency; use less paper; and enhance the payment experience for our valued vendors.
The benefits of direct deposit for city vendors include:
- It’s convenient. No waiting for your checks!
- It’s safe. No worrying over losing a paycheck or having it stolen before you can get to the bank.
- It saves time. Avoid lines at the bank, and if you are out of town, your money is in the bank automatically.
Currently, only 20% of city vendors utilize direct deposit to receive their payments from the city. The city has set a goal of 100% voluntary compliance.
