The intersection will open at 12:00 PM, July 1, 2019
WEST PALM BEACH, FLA (June 28, 2019) – The intersection of Clematis Street and Olive Avenue will open to motor traffic the morning of Monday, July 1, 2019. The opening is ahead of schedule, originally slated for the evening of July 3, 2019. The closure was related to upgrades associated with the ongoing Clematis Streetscape project scheduled to continue through the summer.
The intersection closed on June 10 and remained closed to cars as Clematis was modified to accommodate more pedestrians, bike traffic and extra shade trees. The area will open to pedestrians throughout the construction which continues through the summer.
The Clematis Streetscape project is one of several joint projects between the City of West Palm Beach and the West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency. The project was designed with quality of life at the forefront and to ensure that the City’s downtown core evolves with the needs of residents, merchants, and visitors.
