WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (July 23, 2019) – Homework help is here and it’s free!  Kids and teens can receive a variety of free programs, tools and resources to help them succeed in school at the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach, including free homework help, free digital resources, free after-school activities, plus free school supplies.
“Our goal is to support students with their studies however we can, whether it’s through our homework centers, using technology, or maybe it’s just a quiet place to study or an hour of fun after school,” said Jennifer McQuown, Youth Services Manager of the Mandel Public Library.    “We want to provide the tools and resources for kids of all ages to grow and inspire them to reach their full potential.”
Homework Help:
The library’s Homework Centers will open on August 13, coinciding with the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year, with a special teacher Meet & Greet and School Supplies Giveaway.  On August 13-15, 4:00 PM – 7:30PM (5:00 PM – 6:30 PM for teens), parents and students can meet and chat with the certified teachers at the Homework Centers, enjoy free refreshments, and get tips to make their school year successful.  Students who attend the Meet & Greet and register for the Homework Centers will also receive free school supplies (while supplies last) courtesy of the West Palm Beach Library Foundation.
The Mandel Public Library offers free after-school Homework Centers for elementary students, as well as middle and high schoolers.  The centers are equipped with the latest technology and facilitated and managed by certified teachers.  In addition to providing assistance with homework in all subjects, projects and test prep, they also offer students healthy snacks and encouragement.  Focusing on promoting a positive school experience and encouraging kids and teens in their studies, the Homework Centers have become one of the library’s most popular programs.

Connect 24/7:  Free ebooks, audiobooks, music, movies and more:  The library provides access to thousands of books, movies, music and much more that can be checked out by students to help with their homework or simply to enjoy.  In addition to visiting the library, cardholders can access materials 24/7 on their desktop, mobile devices, or TV using the library’s free apps.  Best of all, all items checked out will be automatically returned…that means no late fees!
Free Computers and Internet Access:  The library has over 140 computers and two separate departments just for kids and teens with computers that have free access to the internet.  Students can work on homework assignments by researching via our free databases, typing papers in Word, or creating presentations in PowerPoint.
After-School Activities & Offerings
