Sandi’s Fleet Sale
With sustainability as Sandi’s theme, Clematis by Night will feature HUGE discounts on gently used aquatic gear – just in time for the holidays!
Thursday, December 12 starting at 5:30 p.m. during Clematis by Night
WHO: Sandi will ho-ho-host an amazing sale just in time for the holidays! Guests of all ages will be able to find something of interest + enjoy extra entertainment during this special Clematis by Night.
WHAT: The City of West Palm Beach’s Office of Sustainability, in partnership with Visit West Palm Beach, with the help of the City’s famed holiday sand tree, Sandi, are promoting more sustainable gifts this season, in the form of gently used aquatic equipment. The sale fits into the City’s overall Holiday in Paradise theme, in which the star of the show is promoting sustainability this year. Sandi’s Fleet Sale will include used paddleboards, kayaks, snorkel gear, life vests, and more, at reduced prices. The newly retired gear helps to ensure less waste and gives shoppers a big bargain!
For additional fun, The Van, Surf and Skate Expo will also be on hand with their mobile shaping room. Guests can watch the area’s top surfboard designers hand shaping surfboards that best perform in our local beach breaks.
Additionally, attendees will be treated to a special live performance by the St. Ann’s Catholic School 4th grade choir, middle school choir and middle school band from 5:30 – 6:20 p.m. This is the 4th annual performance by incredibly talented local students, who perform holiday songs. After, Valerie Tyson will take over the stage to play Top 40 hits, jazz, classic rock, and more, for the crowd!
VISUALS: Guests of all ages enjoying live music; Sandi lit up for all to see; families enjoying SnowieVille; bright colored paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel gear, and more, lined up and ready for sale; people looking at and purchasing the aquatic equipment; the St. Ann’s Catholic 4th grade choir preforming; the crowd dancing along to a live performance by Valerie Tyson.
WHERE: West Palm Beach Waterfront by the Little Blue Hut, west of Flagler Drive on North Clematis St.
WHEN: Thursday, December 12, 2019 starting at 5:30 p.m.
WHY: After traveling the beaches of the world in the off-season in search of the big wave, she has returned with a dream of cleaner beaches and oceans. This holiday season, Sandi will team up with the Office of Sustainability to bring continued awareness to efforts to protect our natural resources for the West Palm Beach community.
“This is always one of our most favorite times of the year. People of all ages from near and far, look forward to Sandi’s return and the next chapter in her story. We are especially excited about this year’s theme, which acknowledges the City’s commitment to sustainability, while recognizing how special it is to enjoy the holiday season in West Palm Beach with a mix of sun, surf and sand.”- said Mary Pinak, Community Events Manager for the City of West Palm Beach Department of Parks and Recreation.
Sandi has returned to the waterfront for her eighth season. Since making her grand entrance in 2012, Sandi has received numerous international and regional awards and accolades, which include being named “Best New Event” and “Best Event within an Existing Festival” by the International Festivals and Events Association; and “Most Innovative Project” by the Florida Festivals and Events Association. Sandi has been featured in The Huffington Post, on Thrillist, on CNN and The Ellen Show and even has her very own, and wildly popular, Twitter account - @Sanditreewpb.
