Guests of all ages in costume, including adults, kids, families, and pets, are all expected to attend Clematis by Fright.
This FREE, family-friendly event offers a spooky twist on the weekly Clematis by Night series. There will be costume contests offering thousands of dollars in total prizes for five categories: Adults, Couples, Kids, Families, and Pets. Prizes include concert tickets, tours, gift certificates and much more.
FREE Halloween-themed attractions for kids include: fun and safe trick-or-treating in the Haunted Hallows, FREE candy bags (while supplies last), Kids’ Ghoulish Game Area, exciting hay rides, corn maze, face-painting, balloon twisters, and more. Attendees will be able to do the monster mash and throw it back with spooky ‘80s jams by The Spazmatics!

Kids trick-or-treating in costume in the Haunted Hallows; Colorful, funny, and cute costumes on adults, children, and pets; kids engaging in the face painting/hay rides/games; people of all ages dancing to live ‘80s music from the Spazmatics and more.
- Enjoy Halloween as a community with safe trick-or-treating for kids and all-around fun for families. Activities will be located on the Great Lawn, where kids can safely trick-or-treat with a free Halloween bag provided by Clematis by Night. The bag will be available for pick up near the Haunted Hallows area, while supplies last. Candy will be provided by approximately twenty nonprofit organizations and local businesses. Additional activities include hayrides, a corn maze, a game area, live music, and more.
- Thousands of dollars awarded in the costume contest. Guests are encouraged to flaunt their most creative costumes for a chance to win big prizes. The contest includes categories for kids, adults, couples, families and pets. Registration for the contest begins at 6:00 p.m., and contestants must be present to win. The kids and family categories start at 7:00 p.m., and the adult, couple and pet categories start at 8:00 p.m., all at the Lake Pavilion, which is located at 101 S Flagler Dr., West Palm Beach, FL 33401. The children’s competition has several categories, broken down by age, from infants to age 15. Prizes will also be awarded to the adult costume winners for first, second and third places and for the best overall costume for couples. Prizes include tickets to top area attractions, hotel stays, concerts, local restaurants, and much more.
This annual free family-friendly event offers a safe place for Halloween fun and trick-or-treat candy donated by local businesses and nonprofits. It provides a safe gathering place for family and friends of all ages who can enjoy participating in a costume contest for a chance to win incredible prizes such as: admission and concert tickets, gift baskets, parties, games, tours, and thousands of dollars of other great prizes - all while listening to incredible live music. Clematis by Night is “Where the Party Begins” and Halloween is no exception.

For visitors not arriving by broom, convenient parking is available in two City of West Palm Beach garages, Banyan, on the corner of Banyan Blvd. and Olive Ave., and Evernia, on the corner of Evernia St. and Olive Ave. The City’s garages are just a few blocks away from the action. Additionally, the City’s fun and free trolley has several stops near Clematis by Fright.
