Celebrating Clematis Street's 200 Block

Streetscape Project Creates More Shade, More Space for People

A wide angle view of Clematis Street looking West

On November 7, 2019, as part of the West Palm Beach 125th Anniversary series of celebrations, West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James, City leaders, project managers from the West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, partners and local merchants participated in a ribbon cutting to celebrate the unveiling of the newly constructed 200 block of Clematis Street. A Street Soiree including live music, and food and drink tastings from local businesses, followed the ceremony. The renovated 200 block features wider sidewalks with more shade trees, narrowed traffic lanes and a curbless street design to allow for an easier and more enjoyable pedestrian experience along the award-winning historic corridor. Phase II of the Clematis Streetscape project continues in the 100 block and is expected to wrap up in December 2019. The 200 Block of Clematis Street will officially open to traffic on November 8, 2019

Happy 125th Anniversary West Palm Beach!
