1400 in 8 Early in 2024, Mayor Keith A. James announced an ambitious plan to create 1400 affordable, workforce homes by the send of his second term as Mayor. This was the third time he set the bar. In 2021, he set it at 300-in-3 years. In 2023, he challenged developers to create 600-units in 3 years. After exceeding 600 units. he raised the bar to 1400-in-8 years.
Comprehensive Planning The Comprehensive Planning Section carries out long-range planning and transportation functions within the Planning Division at the City of West Palm Beach. The Comprehensive Planning team is responsible for the establishment, review, and enforcement of the City of West Palm Beach Comprehensive Plan.
