Trail Length:
16.6 miles one way

Location: Can be accessed via Apoxee Trail, SWA Trail or by parking at 8264 Northlake Blvd. and hiking/biking along the sidewalk 0.5 mi east to the trailhead.

Description: The bikeable perimeter trail follows a levee containing sections of loose sand, dirt, and crushed concrete. The trail connects with both the Apoxee Trail and SWA Trails.

Wildlife Viewing: Wading birds include snowy egrets, glossy ibis, and roseate spoonbills. Alligators are common in the canal, while bobcat and deer can sometimes be sighted on the levee.

Activities: Hiking, wildlife viewing, and biking.

Amenities: None

Hours: Dawn-Dusk if accessed from the SWA Palmetto parking lot, or 7am-6pm if accessed from the Apoxee parking lot.
