The Planning Division is responsible for the review of all proposed development within the city, including preparation and implementation of the City's Zoning and Land Development Regulations. The Planning Division consists of the following sections:

Permit Planner

EPL Guide & Info

EPL (Enterprise Permitting & Licensing) is our 100% digital online permitting platform while the Civic Access portal is the customer-facing side of EPL. Our EPL Guide and Information page contains PDF guides as well as YouTube walkthroughs on how to register for and use the Civic Access portal. We highly recommend spending some time getting to know the portal before you begin your permit application.

 

 

Civic Access

Use the Civic Access portal to manage your project - apply for permits, check your permit status, pay fees, resubmit for plan review, download your permit card and approved plans, schedule inspections, and more. Development Services Affordable / Workforce Housing Roundtable, March 26, 2024

The Development Services Department with Housing and Community Development hosted a roundtable discussion to discuss proposed provisions to the code to promote workforce housing production within the City. The Mayor and City Commission approved amendments to the Comprehensive Plan on March 4, 2024 to allow the City to continue with the Workforce Housing initiative outlined in Resolution 306-22(PDF, 279KB).
